Anti-gun bureaucrats never stop looking for new ways to chip away at your Second Amendment rights.
This time, it wasn’t a city council or a state agency.
It was a homeowners association in Port St. Lucie.
The Tradition Community Association recently passed a sweeping policy banning both open and concealed firearms in common areas throughout the neighborhood — including parks, trails, gazebos, and community gathering spaces.
Thankfully, pro-gun Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier put them on notice, warning the HOA that its gun ban violates Florida law and infringes on the constitutional rights of law-abiding gun owners.

The Attorney General even warned the association that legal action could follow if the policy remains in place.
That’s the good news.
But gun owners should pay close attention to the bigger lesson here.
The anti-gun Left will use every avenue in their power to push their gun control agenda.
Gun grabbers will use unelected boards, local bureaucrats, activist judges, corporations, HOAs, and backdoor regulations to do it piece by piece.
And if no one pushes back?
They keep pushing.
That’s exactly why Florida Gun Rights has warned for years that the fight for the Second Amendment doesn’t end after Election Day.
Even in a Republican-controlled state like Florida, gun owners are constantly forced to defend their freedoms from anti-gun politicians and bureaucrats who think they know better than you.
While Attorney General Uthmeier deserves credit for stepping in, many Republican lawmakers in Tallahassee still refuse to fully repeal the gun control laws passed after the Parkland shooting.
Florida still has “Red Flag” Gun Confiscation.
There are still restrictions on firearm purchases for adults under 21 and dangerous mandatory waiting periods to purchase a gun.
If anti-gun activists can convince an HOA board to ban firearms in common areas today, what will they try tomorrow?
Gun owners cannot afford to get complacent.
The Second Amendment survives only when elected officials fear the consequences of ignoring gun owners more than they fear criticism from the media and anti-gun activists.
That means holding every politician, bureaucrat, and local board accountable whenever they try to restrict your rights.
Because history has shown one thing clearly:
Gun control never stops on its own.
